About the State Emergency Service (SES)
The State Emergency Service is an Australian wide Hazard Management Agency that provides assistance in times of crisis for emergencies such as missing persons (land, marine, cave, air and mine), vehicle crashes, bush fires, humanitarian relief, medical evacuations, storm and cyclone damage and more. The organisation runs 24/7 and its volunteers wear highly recognisable bright orange uniform and work with the Police, DFES, Army and the Navy on a regular basis.
The State Emergency Service receives funds from the local and federal government and also from donations from the general public.
About Two Rocks
Two Rocks State Emergency Service is the newest Unit in WA and we provide assistance in an area that covers the coast between Alkimos and Lancelinand 100 kilometres inland. 5900 km2. We work in all weather conditions and in all terrains using specialist equipment. We also assist other State Emergency Service (SES) units within WA especially during fire season and extreme flooding.
We were created in February 2018 and have a small group of volunteers who are desperate to help the community we serve. A few State Emergency Service units within the area have selflessly donated some equipment of which we are grateful but it simply isn’t enough. With our large search area and minimal equipment, we are struggling to help those in our community we urgently want to help.
We need your help.
By donating money to the Two Rocks State Emergency Service (SES) Unit, your spare money goes towards buying much needed resources including; rope safety systems and equipment, power tools, hand tools, mobile lighting, 4WD rescue equipment, generators, navigation equipment…. The list is endless. Every cent you generously donate to us goes towards buying equipment that will be used to help you when you need us the most in an emergency.
With every donation we receive we’ll be a better, stronger and more equipped unit thanks to you.
All donations are tax deductible and you’ll receive a Recipient Tax deductible invoice to claim against your taxable income.

Small regular contributions all help to support and equip our State Emergency Service (SES). Donations are deducted from your salary and at the end of each financial year you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for the total of your donations.
- Complete the Workplace Giving Payroll Deduction Form
- Send the completed form to your payroll department to deduct your nominated donation amount from your salary
- Request your payroll office to complete the instructions on the deduction authorisation form. Information for the management of Workplace Giving is available here
By leaving a legacy in your Will to the Two Rocks State Emergency Service unit through a bequest, you will assist us to grow as a unit, and enable us to provide the best service to the community. Leaving a gift in a Will is a very important decision, but doesn’t have to be a complex one. Below are some basic steps that donors are encouraged to follow:
- Step 1 – Have the very important conversation with your family and loved ones
- Step 2 – See the appropriate level of legal advice and guidance
- Step 3 – Make up your Will and decide the level of support you wish to provide
- Step 4 – Notify family of your decisions and keep them in the loop
- Step 5 – Notify Two Rocks State Emergency Service (SES) of your intention
